Q4 2020 Performance of Top Business Finance Apps on Android in the US

As the year 2020 wrapped up, the Business Finance & Business Solutions category on Android in the United States saw varied performance among its top applications. Sensor Tower provides us with a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users during the fourth quarter.

ADP Mobile Solutions, a product of ADP, INC., showed a fluctuating download trend, starting with approximately 43K downloads in the last week of September and peaking at 52K in early December. The weekly active users started at 1.45M and saw a slight decrease over the quarter, ending with around 1.36M active users.

Square Point of Sale: Payment by Block, Inc. experienced a decrease in downloads, starting at 55K and ending the quarter at around 14K. Weekly active users also saw a downward trend, from 212K in late September to approximately 179K by the end of December.

PayPal Business, from PayPal Mobile, had a decrease in downloads from 21K to nearly 20K over the quarter. The app's active users dipped initially but then rose to end the quarter slightly higher at 137K compared to the starting point of 137K.

DailyPay On-Demand Pay showed an initial increase in downloads from 7.7K to 16K in late October but then followed a downward trajectory to end at 4.5K. Weekly active users steadily increased from 40K to 64K in late November, then slightly decreased to around 62K by year-end.

Lastly, QuickBooks Online Accounting by Intuit Inc. saw its downloads vary, with a peak of around 12K in mid-October, before ending the quarter at nearly 14K. Despite the variations in downloads, weekly active users saw a general increase from approximately 94K at the start of the quarter to 105K in the final week of December.
